It's Official: Mauro Rosales is a River Player

The transfer is finally complete. After months of negociating with Ajax, Mauro Rosales's transfer has been resolved since River found a business group who was willing to put in the $250,000 euros that were missing. The total price is $1,800,000 euros. The people who are around the foward have confirmed that he would arrive either this weekend or on Monday.

Mauro, who recently turned 26, won the 2004 Olympics and the 2001 U-20 World Cup with Argentina. He is already familiar with some River players, such as Leo Ponzio, since he played for Newell's for 5 years.

Falcao won't be able to play on Thursday vs. Caracas, due to receiving a one-match ban vs. Colo Colo. Will Rosales fill in the Colombian's spot, or will Ruben finally get to start?
